While a new year is upon us, the UFC will once again implement an old strategy.
The UFC’s tactics of counter-programming its competitors will continue, and Spike TV will feature a replay of “UFC 107: Penn vs. Sanchez” on Jan. 30 during the Showtime broadcast of “Strikeforce: Miami.” UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn’s dominating, five-round win over Diego Sanchez will be featured on the UFC 107 broadcast, as will heavyweight champion Frank Mir’s co-main event win over Cheick Kongo. The action-packed lightweight clash between Kenny Florian and Clay Guida will round out the special.
Featuring select bouts from this past December’s UFC 107 event, the two-and-a-half broadcast is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET/PT.
“Strikeforce: Miami,” which takes place the same night at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., also airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT
