Roy Nelson recently stepped up on very short notice and lost vs. Stipe Miocic at UFC 161 in June, and now appears to have drawn Daniel Cormier. Some metaphor about being hit over the head with a frying pan and dropped in the fryolator is appropriate.
The pair have been bickering on twitter and in the media for months, and now there is apparently a date. Yahoo Sports Kevin Iole reports that a fight between the two is in the works for UFC 166 on Oct. 19, 2013, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
The fight is contingent upon Nelson signing a new contract with the UFC.
UFC 166 is headlined by the rubbermatch between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos.
