Cormier to Jones: Put a bullseye on that cut
Daniel Cormier: “I’m gonna take u down and grind my elbow into that cut you got today. Put a bullseye on that thing. Some things should remain private.”
On Thursday UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones posted an Instragram video of his eye being stitched up, along with a pledge to wear headgear going forward. The is not expected to significantly impact preparation for his fight with Daniel Cormier at UFC 178 on September 27.
However, when Cormier saw it, he developed a new plan.
September 27th I’m gonna put so many of these on ur face @jonnybones. I can’t wait everyday I’m dreaming and thinking of you. And I’m gonna take u down and grind my elbow into that cut you got today. Put a bullseye on that thing. Some things should remain private. DC
Jones responded by saying he has heard it all.
“‘His hands are too fast,'” began Jones. “‘His Jiu Jitsu is too good.’ ‘His wrestling is too good.’ ‘He’s too fast.’ ‘Too experienced.’ ‘Can’t beat his Karate.’ ‘Can’t beat his timing.’ I’ve literally heard everything. Everything.”
