Cormier questions quality of Miocic wins
Daniel Cormier: “Fabricio Werdum, I don’t know what he was doing. He ran right into Stipe’s fist. Stipe might have still won that fight. Alistair Overeem, I don’t know what he was doing. He hurt him and then he thought he tapped.”
UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic did not resort to trash talk during the run up the fight, which included appearing as opposing coaches on season 27 of The Ultimate Fighter. However, speaking to reporters after the open media workout, DC did question the quality of Miocic’s opposition.
He’s fought some tough guys, said Cormier, as transcribed by Nathan Zur for Sherdog. Fabricio Werdum, I don’t know what he was doing. He ran right into Stipe’s fist. Stipe might have still won that fight. Alistair Overeem, I don’t know what he was doing. He hurt him and then he thought he tapped. [Rematch] with dos Santos, I think Cain Velasquez may have turned Junior into a zombie nowadays.”
This dude’s a good champion. He is and I love Francis Ngannou; I think he’s a great guy but if I spent 22 minutes on top of him, I would have gotten four or five submissions and found a way to get some TKO stoppages.”
This will be the first time he’s fighting somebody that can do everything.
This is Miocic’s last seven fights:
Win via Unanimous Decision vs. Francis Ngannou, breaking the record for most consecutive UFC Heavyweight title defenses
Win via TKO vs. Junior dos Santos in a Performance of the Night
Win via KO vs. Alistair Overeem in the Fight of the Night
Win via KO vs. Fabricio Werdum in a Performance of the Night
Win via TKO vs. Andrei Arlovski in a Performance of the Night
Win via TKO vs. Mark Hunt

This is Cormier’s last seven:

They are both extraordinary.
