Daniel Cormier fights Dan Henderson next Saturday live on PPV at UFC 173.
Muhammmed “King Mo” Lawal fights Quinton “Rampage” Jackson this Saturday live on PPV at Bellator 120.
Despite playing prominent roles in competing organizations, Cormier offered Lawal the highest praise, via Instagram.
This guy insisted that I fight. This guys called me when I was at my lowest point everyday. This guy paid my mortgage when I was broke. Hes my brother and I can’t wait until he competes this weekend in his 1st ppv main event. You don’t meet many people like Muhammad Lawal in one lifetime and I am lucky to have this guy. Watch him put an end to rampage career. Mo you a champion my brother and good luck. You won’t need it. #brother #teamthirsty #okstate #worldteam my brother. Kick his ass MO! @kingmofh
Rampage offered a dismissive response.
Why do I care about Daniel Cormier? said Jackson to MMAJunkie. Is he in my league? He’s just talking ’cause that’s his boy. That’s what people do. I don’t think about stuff like that. That don’t bother me. I don’t care about what other people say. I know what I’m going to do to ‘Mo.’ I don’t care what Daniel says. Daniel can’t get in the cage and fight for ‘Mo,’ can he? OK.
Daniel needs to watch what he says before I smack the taste out of his mouth.”
