Cormier: [Cummins] can’t beat me
Daniel Cormier: “I fought some of the best fighters in the world and I stood across the cage from killers and I won. I’ve fought the best of the best and I won.”

Daniel Cormier was scheduled to fight a former light heavyweight champion in Rashad Evans, but now will square off against former training partner Patrick Cummins, who Cormier believes has no chance to beat him:
He has one really, really strong skill and that’s his wrestling. But, like I’ve said before I was going to fight Rashad, when I’m the cage with another wrestler, I feel like I’ve earned the right to say I have the advantage. I don’t know how much is real. I haven’t been around Pat for a really long time. Maybe that’s the Patrick Cummins that I didn’t know. He went by Pat when we talked back then, now he’s going by his full name. I don’t know, it must be him. The old guy that I knew doesn’t exist anymore. Patrick Cummins can not fight me.
There is no way in hell that he an win this fight. He’s way in over his head. I’ve earned my spot. I fought some of the best fighters in the world and I stood across the cage from killers and I won. I’ve fought the best of the best and I won. He can’t beat me.”
