Conor McGregor and SBG-Ireland back gay marriage in Ireland
Conor McGregor: “Myself and my team are urging everyone to please VOTE YES TO EQUALITY! Every human deserves equal rights #WeAreAllOne.”

Gay Marriage is performed in number of countries and 37 states in the USA*. However, it has nowhere been decided by nationwide referendum. That may change on May 22, when Ireland votes on a proposed amendment in favor of gay marriage to Article 41 of the Irish Constitution.
UFC featherweight star Conor McGregor and his SBG Ireland have taken a principled and admirable stand on the issue.
As it is not in their self interest, famous athletes and teams rarely takes a stand on controversial issues. This was epitomized when Michael Jordan declined to endorse Harvey Gantt’s 1990 challenge to North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms, pointing out that Republicans buy sneakers too. Conor McGregor and SBG Ireland are not trying to sell you anything.

“Equality…. Proudly supported by @sbgireland. We are all one!”
In a recent poll the vote was 53% in favor, 24% against, and 23% undecided. So as it stands, the good guys will win one.
