Condit wants to settle the score with Diaz
Carlos Condit: “Nick Diaz is back in the picture, and I was thinking about maybe after he fights Anderson Silva, getting that shot at him again.”

On March 15 at UFC 171, Carlos Condit suffered a torn ACL and partially torn meniscus in a fight with Tyron Woodley. He had surgery, and has spent the time with family and rehabilitating his knee.
Now he is thinking about fights, and has his eye on Nick Diaz, who fights Anderson Silva at UFC 183 on Jan 31. Condit beat Diaz for the UFC Interim welterweight championsip at UFC 143 on 4 February 2012. Condit says Diaz turned down a rematch, which is how he ended up in the Octagon with Woodley.
“I’m feeling good. I’m getting back almost 100%, said Condit to Albuquerque’s KRQE. My knee is feeling good. I’m hoping to get a fight here in the near future.”
This time off has given me the opportunity to really work on stuff that I really needed to work on, as opposed to training for a particular opponent think when you are training for a fight, you don’t have the time to grow and focus on your personal development as an athlete. Now that I have had this time, I’ve really worked on the stuff I needed to work on to get back in the win column.
“Nick Diaz is back in the picture, and I was thinking about maybe after he fights Anderson Silva, getting that shot at him again. Doing a rematch and kind of settling the score.”
“I’m taking it easy. But if the UFC comes through with a fight I’ll be ready to get into camp.”
