UFC 209 took place Saturday, March 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vega, Nevada. The five fight main card aired only on PPV and was headlined by a rematch between Stephen Thompson and Tyron Woodley for the UFC welterweight title.

The UFC also aired a four fight preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 at 8:00 PM ET and started the night off with two preliminary bouts on UFC Fight Pass at 7:00 PM ET.

The event was supposed to be co-headlined by an interim lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, however that was cancelled just yesterday when Nurmagomedov experienced medical complications during his weight cut. Ferguson opted not to take a last minute replacement fight against Michael Johnson.
