NEW YORK – Combate Global today announced a five-fight lineup for Friday, live on Univision and TUDN USA (12 a.m. ET) from Miami.
In the featherweight main event, two battle-tested veterans of the game – Leonardo “Chimmy” Morales (10-6) and Marlon “Deriko Siete” Gonzales (15-5-2) – will face off.
The 29-year-old Morales of Managua, Nicaragua will enter la jaula, the Combate Global competition cage, for the third time in his career, and look to rebound after a recent skid that has seen him lose by decision in each of his last two fights. The defeats followed a string of three victories that he had produced with three consecutive finishes.
Gonzales is a 30-year-old native resident of Lima, Peru and a veteran of the 2018 Copa Combate one-night, eight-man tournament. He has earned eight of his 15 career victories by way of knockout or submission and will return to Combate Global for the first time since 2019.
In a featured women’s atomweight (105 pounds) contest, Gloria “The Queen” Bravo (6-5) of Santiago, Chile will take on Yajaira “La Pantera Negra” Cunningham (4-3) of Homestead, Fla.
A featured featherweight matchup will pit Ramon “Wild Boy” Vizcarra (3-3) of Mexicali, B.C., Mexico against unbeaten David “DZ Machine” Zelner (2-0) of Merritt Island, Fla.
The preliminary bout card will feature a featherweight affair between undefeated Moses Diaz (3-0) of Phoenix, Ariz. and Carlos Cordoba (2-2) of San Jose, Costa Rica.
Kicking off the bout card will be a lightweight attraction featuring the respective debuts of David Ruiz (0-0) of Gran Canaria, Spain and Gabriel Mazzetti (0-0) of Lima, Peru via Miami.
