The UFC announced that Cole Miller suffered torn ligaments in his left thumb, and is out of his fight with Conor McGregor at UFC Fight Night 46 on July 19, 2014 at The O2 in Dublin, Ireland.
Miller will be replaced by The Ultimate Fighter 14 winner Diego Brandao.
Brandao is coming off a KO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 168, but was on a three fight win streak before that.
The storied McGregor is on a ten-fight win streak, but will have been out for nearly a year, following surgery for a torn ACL.
Miller and ‘McGoober’ had engaged in some memorable trash talk. It remains to be seen if the same happens with Brandao.
