Coker: Liddell would need a battery of tests

UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell is 48 in December and has not fought since 2010. He lost five of his final six fights, four of them by knockout. His close friend UFC president Dana White made up a no-show office job in return for retiring, and not getting hurt any further.
Then the UFC sold to WME-IMG and the new owners took a number of cost-cutting measures, including the release of Chuck Liddell. Images and text of Chuck Liddell working out hard at Jay Glazer’s Unbreakable Gym in LA began to appear recently on the social network. He looked tough.

Given the success Bellator MMA has had with name fighters no longer competitive in the UFC, Liddell would be a huge signing. Within the past week, ‘The Iceman’ called out Chael Sonnen.
“Chael’s an easy fight,” said Liddell to TMZ. “If I was gonna come back, it’s a good one. It’s a good warm-up fight. He’s got a big mouth but not much behind it.”
Sonnen was game.

I’ve got to reach out and see if [Liddell would] like to do some fan fest stuff for us and be in the community, but that’s it. There’s no fight for him.
Marrocco asked Coker if he had ruled out a return to the cage for Liddell in Bellator.
We really haven’t even had that conversation,” replied the Bellator boss.
