Coker in discussion with boxer Tyson Fury for Bellator fight
Scott Coker: “I told his manager he’s going to get taken down, he’s going to get submitted, or he’s going to get hurt … Man, this guy has no idea.”

When gigantic prizefighter Tyson Fury posted on Twitter that he wanted to start MMA, there was suspicion that it was an April Fool’s prank.
•Really thinking about having a mma fight, just to show u all how easy it would be for me,
•Serious talks are underway with @ScottCoker to make my #MMA debut in @BellatorMMA
There was some precedent for it. In 2013 Fury called out Cain Velasquez. UFC president Dana White offered Fury the opportunity to get smashed.
(White) already offered me a fight before, but I told him, and I’ll tell you again, when he can afford it, come and see me,” said Fury recently. “Until then, forget about it.
However, Fury is of Irish Traveler descent, loves to fight, and as Steven Marrocco reports, the discussion with Bellator is real, and has been ongoing for a couple of weeks.
He thinks that MMA fighters can’t fight, and he has no idea what he’s potentially getting himself into, said Coker to MMAjunkie. He believes in his mind that he’s going to go in there and knock them out.
I told his manager he’s going to get taken down, he’s going to get submitted, or he’s going to get hurt. And (the manager said), ‘Well, he really wants to do it.’ I said OK, and that’s when we started talking.
Man, this guy has no idea.
Let’s see how serious he is.”
