Ronda Rousey is of course known as a world-class judo champion and Olympic Medalist, but according to her head coach, her boxing is progressing amazingly well, so much so that she is boxing with and hurting world champion women boxers:

During a media and workout session on Monday in Los Angeles, Edmond Tarverdyan said the UFC 170 headliner continues to make steady progress in the standup department. He said the top-level boxers he trains have also noticed Rousey’s steady progress, though he stopped short of saying it’ll be part of the game plan for next week’s return to the cage.

I’m not going to give out what she’s going to do, but I’ll be honest: We get boxing world champions in here – girls – and she drops all of them with body shots, Tarverdyan said. So if you’re dropping people with 14-ounce gloves, you guys should be seeing that (in her UFC fights).
