Coach: McGregor vs Aldo in mid Summer
Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh: “Mid-summer, maybe,” he said. “In Vegas, fighting capital of the world. Well I would certainly love it to be Ireland.”

Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh recently spoke with Ireland’s Newstalk Breakfast and said the fight UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is likely to be in mid Summer, rather than in May as was previously believed.
It’s not 100 per cent yet,” said Kavanagh. “There was talk of a May date. It may now actually be later in the year.
“I get a lot of tweets and messages, people wanting to book their flights. I would just say hold on, hold on until the UFC officially announce. It’s not confirmed yet.”
Kavanagh was asked when to expect the fight
Mid-summer, maybe,” he said. “In Vegas, fighting capital of the world. Well I would certainly love it to be Ireland. Unfortunately, there’s a few problems. It would have to be in a stadium, maybe Croke Park. The problem with that is you have a curfew – 11pm it has to all shut down.
“They did a big event in Stockholm last weekend. But they didn’t start until 2 or 3am … pay-per-view time in the States. They have a massive drop in revenue and also the cost of setting up Croke Park.
“We’re hoping to go over there and win the belt, and twist their arm a little bit more and get the first defense in Dublin.”
