Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson has signed with Bellator MMA and is back training at American Top Team. ATT coach Mike Brown spoke with Mike Bohn for MMA Junkie.

He’s still an able fighter and still has a lot of fight left in him, said Brown. Heavyweights seem to peak at an older age. You see many heavyweights who are still great into their 40s. I think he’s just still maturing as a fighter. He also started late, so he didn’t have all the wear and tear of a long career on his body.

He’s a monster draw and everyone will be excited to see him fight, He’s always intriguing. He’s putting in the work and he’s getting ready. I’m interested to see who they give him for a matchup.

Kimbo is 40 now, but Brown says his fighting spirit remains.

I think everyone has their reasons (for fighting),” said Brown. “I’m sure money is a big factor, but I think that reason is enough.
