It is hard to get a fighter into the UFC. UFC Fight Night 59: McGregor vs. Siver on January 18, 2015 in Boston, MA will feature three fighters from the same gym. Cathal Pendred, Paddy Holohan, and Conor McGregor will all be cornered by John Kavanagh, the first blackbelt in Ireland. Kavanagh’s SBG Ireland is a nominee for 2014 Gym of Year in the World MMA Awards.

McGregor has predicted that he will beat Siver in under two minutes. However, in and interview with Fergus Ryan for Ireland’s The Independent, Kavanagh indicated that McGregor may have been a little pessimistic.

“I don’t know I think he’s wrong to be honest,” said Kavanagh. “I can’t see it go past a minute.”

We’ll find out on the 18th, with a stopwatch ticking.
