CM Punk: Super nice guy Nate Diaz apologized
CM Punk: Nate Diaz apologized to me

Nate Diaz has tremendous mic skills, equal in his way to anyone in the UFC.
When the sport was intrigued with Conor McGregor’s Movement Training with guru Ido Portal, Diaz dismissed it as “playing touch-butt with that dork in the park.”
Touch butt, heh.
When it was announced back in 2014 that CM Punk signed with the UFC, Diaz was likewise not impressed, arguing that the former WWE superstar, with his slicked-back hair and virgin nose has yet to earn the right to fight in the Octagon.
Virgin nose, heh.
He might do great, but why does he get a chance? asked Diaz. He’s an amateur. You’re going to put an amateur in there with pros? That makes us all amateurs, so I think it’s ridiculous. As far as I’m concerned, f*** him, f*** the whole situation. Anybody who takes that fight is tripping.
The UG followed Diaz’s sage guidance.

However, Punk recently told Damon Martin for FOX Sports about a recent encounter with Diaz that was entirely positive and supportive.
“UFC 200 I was doing an autograph signing and the guy I was signing the autograph for started like pointing behind me and I heard someone like yelling my name and I turned around and I was on a riser and Nate Diaz was on the ground and he was like ‘hey man come here’,” said Punk. “I was like ‘what’s up?’ and he was the nicest f***ing guy.
“I don’t know if he’ll get mad and this will ruin the image of Nate Diaz, but he was like ‘hey man, I talked some s*** before and I don’t know you and I’m sorry’ and he’s like, ‘Gilbert and Ronda said that you’re a cool dude and they love you’ and I started looking around for the cameras. I was like all right. I thought that was super, super cool of him. Super nice guy.”
CM Punk fights Mickey Gall on the main card of UFC 203 on September 10, 2016 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
