Anderson Silva vs. Nick Diaz was wildly entertaining, primarily due to the tenacity and showmanship of Diaz. However, Diaz only won a single round, from a single judge.

Afterwards Diaz tested positive for performance not enhancing marijuana metabolites. Silva of course tested positive for the PEDs drostanolone and androstane as well as the banned drugs oxazepam and temazepam.

Last week Silva requested and received a second hearing delay before the Nevada State Athletic Commission, putting it off sometime until May. It had originally been scheduled for February, and then was moved to April 21. At the hearing Silva will in all likelihood be suspended for a year, fined, and have his win changed to a No Contest.

This would seem like a highly unlikely circumstance in which to call for a rematch, but the Spider did exactly that, via Instagram.
