Chuck Liddell to appear on Celebrity Big Brother
The newest season will air for 13 nights February 7-25, and will serve as counterprogramming for the Winter Olympics. Winner takes home $250,000.
Brian Porreca for the Hollywood Reporter reveals that UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell will appear as a cast member on CBS’ reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’. Other figures moving into the celebrity house this week include:
•American Pie actress Shannon Elizabeth;
•Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath;
•The Cosby Show’s Keshia Knight Pulliam;
•Real Housewife Brandi Glanville;
•Former NBA star Metta World Peace;
•Actors James Maslow and Marissa Winokur;
•TV personality Ross Matthews;
•Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez; and,
•Omarosa Manigault, who left the White House under controversial circumstances in December.
Liddell is a reality television veteran, with appearances on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’, ‘Dancing With The Stars’, and most recently ‘Ultimate Expedition’. In the third, a YouTube Red original series, Liddell is among a group attempting to summit one of the highest and most dangerous peaks in the Peruvian Andes.
On ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Liddell will face someone with greater reality television experience still in Manigault. Donald Trump’s former director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison also appeared memorably on NBC’s ‘The Apprentice’. However, her greatest fame came from her White House exit.
It was widely reported that she was fired by W.H. chief of staff John Kelly. According to White House correspondent April Ryan, Omarosa didn’t take her dismissal well. “She was very upset and said she wanted to speak to the president,” said Ryan.
Quoting sources, Ryan reported that Kelly said, “This is not like going to the principal’s office” and told Omarosa that Trump had signed off on the decision. That prompted Omarosa to grow “vulgar” in her response and, according to Ryan, she told Kelly she had brought the black vote to Trump. She then tried to get into Trump’s residence and was stopped and escorted off campus by Secret Service, according to Ryan.
