Late in 2011, UFC president Dana White, who came up in the boxing world, declared that Chael Sonnen was the best trash talker in a generation.
“Seriously – and everybody’s going to go crazy over this – but I’ve never seen anyone who can talk like this guy can since Muhammad Ali,” said White. “Seriously. Since Muhammad Ali – the stuff that just comes right off the top of his head, and is hilarious. And you don’t know what’s real and what’s not real.”
Ali was also known for his poetry.
