Chael Sonnen: I don’t want to see Wanderlei fired
Chael Sonnen’s dislike and rivalry with Wanderlei Silva aside, he still hopes that Silva is not released by the UFC, following the recent drug test fiasco.
Chael Sonnen had a heated rivalry with Wanderlei Silva through the taping of TUF Brazil 3 and was looking forward to settle their differences inside the Octagon. Yesterday however Silva was removed from the bout after a mishap with a drug test issued by the NSAC, and Sonnen will now fight Vitor Belfort. Sonnen’s dislike and rivalry with Wanderlei Silva aside, he still hopes that Silva is not released by the UFC:
I do not want to see Wanderlei get fired. I think he’ll never fight. You can not trust him again. But he has a family. I know he has a gym that is a miserable failure and do not think he has better options – said in an interview with Combate.com and American site “MMA Junkie” on Friday.
