Cerrone KOs Guillard in 76-second barn burner

Cerrone, the hometown favorite from Colorado Springs, withstood a nasty early flurry from Melvin Guillard and scored a knockout at 1:16 of the first round of their co-feature bout at Denver’s Pepsi Center.

Guillard (43-11-2, 1 no-contest) rocked Cerrone with a counter left and followed with a big knee, but Cerrone managed to clear the cobwebs and avoid being finished.

Then Cerrone turned it on, connecting with a left head kick which wobbled Guillard, then finishing him with a huge right hand.
