Caraway: Why I am the best challenger to Cruz
With no clear cut next contender, Bryan Caraway has recently made his case for a title shot and today explained why he thinks he would be an interesting fight for Dominick Cruz.

Bryan Caraway has won four of his last five fights and has impressed in his last two fights with wins over Eddie Wineland and the previously unbeaten Aljimain Sterling.
The bantamweight division has seen a recent resurgence with the return of Dominick Cruz who regained the title against TJ Dillashaw and defended it against Urijah Faber.
With no clear cut next contender, Bryan Caraway has recently made his case for a title shot and today explained why he thinks he would be an interesting fight for Cruz:
I just believe I bring a really awkward, rare style, Caraway today told MMAjunkie at a media event in Las Vegas. (Cruz) has a very unique style on his feet; he’s got crazy footwork. He might look a little more fancy or flashy, but I have a very unique style with the way I approach my striking to my wrestling. I don’t try to just kickbox or wrestle. I use my wrestling to make my striking better.
I feel I have a fight IQ and I think I’ll be able to put him in situations he’s never been in and I’ll be able to throw strikes that are a little bit awkward. My entries on my takedowns I varied up a lot. I’m very versatile in my takedowns and I don’t think – I know he’s never grappled anyone with my style. I feel like I’m a rare breed and my grappling style is more of a catch wrestler instead of a jiu-jitsu guy.
