Camozzi steps up to fight Jacare Souza
It was revealed today on the UFC Fight Night 64 broadcast that Yoel Romero was injured and would be replaced by Chris Camozzi in the UFC on FOX 15 co-main event versus Jacare Souza.
Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza was scheduled to fight Yoel Romera in the co-main event of UFC on FOX 15, but it was revealed today on the UFC Fight Night 64 broadcast that Romero would be replaced by Chris Camozzi.
The UFC on FOX 15 takes place Saturday, April 18th in Newark, New Jersey and features another important middleweight fight in the main event between Luke Rockhold and Lyoto Machida. These two important middleweight fights would likely determine the next number one contender with number four ranked Rockhold and number one ranked Jacare Souza. Souza’s original opponent Romero was ranked sixth but will now face the unranked Chris Camozzi.
It is likely that a title fight is on the line and whoever wins, it is likely whom does so more impressively between Souza, Rockhold, and Machida that will probably fight the winner of Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort.
