Ariel Helwani reported on UFC Tonight that former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez vs Travis Browne is in the works for UFC 200 July 9.

Velasquez, 33, was supposed to fight division champion Fabricio Werdum in February, but suffered a back injury. This is just one of a series of injuries that have taken Velasquez out of scheduled fights. The next title shot at Werdum instead went to Stipe Miocic, and UFC 198.

Velasquez does however remain the #1 challenger in the official UFC rankings, with Miocic at #2. Browne is ranked at #7, with alternating wins and losses his last four. He most recently beat Matt Mirtione amidst controversy, lost to Andrei Arlovksi, KOed Brendan Schaub in the first, and lost to Fabrio Werdum via unanimous decision.

UFC 200 is expected to be the biggest show in the league’s history.
