Cain Velasquez suffered a shoulder injury during the fight against Brock Lesnar back in October when he won the UFC heavyweight title, that will sideline him for 6 to 8 months.
The injury will likely mean a return to action sometime between June and August 2011.
MMAWeekly.com was able to speak with Junior Dos Santos’ manager Ed Soares on Wednesday as well, and according to him the top contender in the heavyweight division will not be waiting for Velasquez to return before fighting again.
