UFC officials confirmed Wednesday that Alex Caceres is stepping in on short notice to fight Cole Miller at UFC 189, after BJ Penn was removed for violating a USADA prohibition on out of contest use of IVs over 50 mL.

Back in 2014, Caceres tapped out Sergio Pettis winning fight of the night and submission of the night honors. He then lost three in a row, but rebounded with a decision win over Masio Fullen in January. ‘Bruce Leeroy’ si 6-6 overall in the UFC, with one NC.

Miller’s last fight was declared an NC when he could not continue due to an accidental eye poke. Was 2-1 of his last three before that. He is 10-7 overall in the UFC, with the aforementioned NC.

UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Bisping 2 takes place on June 4, 2016 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
