Browne: Opinions are like @$$#&%*$
Travis Browne: “That’s his opinion and opinions are like @$$#&%*$: nobody wants to see them or hear them. It is what it is. I just keep it as a straight forward as possible.”

UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub has said across several interviews that he thinks Travis Browne made a mistake switching gyms from Jackson-Winkeljohn to Glendale Fight Club, under Edmond Tarverdyan.
Now in an interview with Grant Gordon for the Glendale News Press, Browne responds.
That’s his opinion and opinions are like ass—–,” said Browne. “Nobody wants to see them or hear them. It is what it is. I just keep it as a straight forward as possible. That’s just his opinion, nobody cares.
In this sport, you’re held completely accountable, because on [Saturday], you’re gonna be locked in a cage with me. There’s nobody else but us. You’re just biding your time.
That’s why I don’t say stuff like that. Sometimes I think people talk a lot before a fight to boost their confidence.
I didn’t switch camps for no reason. If I’m going to stay the same fighter as I was, I should’ve stayed where I was at. [Tarverdyan’s] really bringing out the fighter in me — not just physically, but mentally.
He’s really teaching me how to fight. Before with coach Jackson and coach Winkeljohn, they really harped on being explosive and athletic.
That’s one thing that I really respect about [Tarverdyan] is I know I’m his fighter. His mentality is if ‘I can’t be 100% with you, I’m not gonna train you.’
I just need to fight my game and go out there and perform. I need to go out there and fight my fight. I know that’s cliché, but you can’t worry about what the other guy’s gonna do because then you don’t do what you need to do.
What do you think UG? Whose arm gets raised Saturday night?
