Late last month UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, ahead of his fight with Travis Browne at UFC 181 on December 6, and said he was glad “Hapa” had switched camps from Jackson’s MMA to train with Edmond Taverdyan at the Glendale fight club.

“I’m not going to go into detail but I think it’s a great thing for me that he’s training there,” sid Schaub. “I’ll put it like that.”

Browne appeared at a fan Q&A in Halifax, NS prior to UFN 54, and said he plans to punish Schaub.

“Honestly, I don’t want to knock him out,” said Browne as transcribed by David St. Martin for MMAFighting. “I want him to feel what it feels like to go three rounds with me. I’ll tell you right now. This guy, a lot of people don’t rub me the wrong way, but opinions are like a–holes and you need to keep them to yourself. That’s exactly what he needs to do.”

“I’m not looking past Brendan Schaub at al. Everything goes my way, I get past this guy, I want to fight for the title. I’ve never asked for anything from the UFC. I’ve never asked for a certain fight. For me, I can’t wait to fight for that title and losing to Werdum has made it that much more of a priority on my list. Moving forward and making the changes that I needed to make to fight for the title.”
