Brown: UFC 185 win should lead to title shot
Matt Brown will next fight former champion Johny Hendricks at UFC 185 and hopes that a win there will set him up for a rematch with Robbie Lawler, this time for the UFC welterweight title:

Matt Brown was on a seven-fight win streak and a fight away from a world title fight before losing a decision to now-champion Robbie Lawler. He will next fight former champion Johny Hendricks at UFC 185 and hopes that a win there will set him up for a rematch with Lawler, this time for the UFC welterweight title:
Brown said he doesn’t obsess over the defeat, but he’d certainly like a second chance one day. That chance could come sooner than later, as Brown (19-12 MMA, 12-7 UFC) said a rematch could be in order if he scores a victory over ex-champ Johny Hendricks (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) at UFC 185 next month.
Beat Johny Hendricks, I don’t think it takes much more than that (to get a title shot), Brown told MMAjunkie Radio. I beat him and I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t be me and Robbie again.
UFC 185 takes place March 14 at Dallas’ American Airlines Center. Brown vs. Hendricks is featured on the pay-per-view main card following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
