In town for International Fight Week, welterweight Matt Brown recently spoke to MMAJunkie about his stance on PEDS in the sport of MMA:

We found out it’s only a two-year ban, not a four-year, which to me is complete bullsh-t, Brown told MMAjunkie ahead of UFC 189, where he fights on Saturday. Maybe I’ll start a petition with all the UFC fighters. Maybe we can band together and ask for a petition to get a minimum four-year ban. Why would you not sign the petition – unless you’re juicing. Right? I think it should be a lifetime ban.

Brown said his biggest concern is the potential danger for a fighter death in the octagon – and what would happen to the sport if that ever came to play.

I find it ludicrous we have a f-cking standard for every other sport – except for the one where you can get murdered in the cage, Brown said. People do die doing this sh-t – just not in the UFC yet, fortunately. The day is gonna come when it happens. We all know that. If it happens to someone that got beat by a known juicer, is that not going to be more of an issue? I don’t want to be the dead one because a motherf-cker was sticking needles in himself all day.
