As there is no athletic commission that oversees events in the United Kingdom, the Ultimate Fighting Championship adheres to similar and strict regulations in regards to the injuries suffered by the athletes and standard rest periods, drawing from those standards in place from some of the highest profile athletic commissions, such as Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, and California.
All athletes were at minimum required a 7 day rest period, and others required a longer period of no contest and another of low contact. Those suspected of possible injury are required to be suspended for a longer period of time and even in some cases require clearance by a physician to compete again.
