The return of Brock Lesnar at UFC 200 was announced at UFC 199 on Saturday night. Even color commentator Joe Rogan didn’t know it was coming. The next question of course is who would be the opponent.
The hardcore fanbase on the UnderGround set on three choices. First choice, by far, was Fedor Emelianenko. If dreams don’t actually come true, then Shane Carwin or Mark Hunt would fit the bill delightfully.
In his first interview since his return to the UFC was announced, Lesnar appeared on the 10 a.m. ET edition of ESPN SportsCenter on Monday, June 6, for a Face to Face interview with anchor Hannah Storm, and announced his opponent.
The former UFC heavyweight champion said the true competitor in him is still alive and well and named his opponent.
IT’S MARK HUNT!!!
And given the return of Shane Carwin to the UFC’s official roster, it looks like he may well be the back up.
UFC 200 will now be the biggest MMA event in the history of the world.
