BRAVE Combat Federation’s celebrated featherweight division has produced iconic battles since its inception. This month in Riffa, Bahrain, another colossal fight is expected in the main event of BRAVE CF 72 when 145-pound champion Roman Bogatov (13-1) puts his title on the line against Nemat Abdrashitov (18-8).

Both athletes have so much in common, yet the application to their journeys highlights their stark differences. Unbeaten inside the BRAVE CF cage, Russia’s Bogatov and Kyrgyzstan’s Abdrashitov are not only competing for the elusive golden strap but also for reputation in a case of “Someone’s BRAVE CF 0 has got to go” and adding to the allure of this “clash of styles” that promises to shake the division to its core.

With only one unanimous decision loss in 14 fights, Bogatov has been close to impeccable since making his professional debut in 2016. With five submissions and six decision victories, the former Russian master of sports in freestyle wrestling and MMA is a grinder who enjoys showcasing his wrestling, grappling, and stamina by taking his opponents into deep waters.

In his last three fights, the third and reigning BRAVE CF Featherweight king spent 55 minutes in the BRAVE CF cage before securing two unanimous decision wins and one split-decision win over Nurzhan Akishev, Abdulmutalip Gairbekov and Tae Kyun Kim, respectively. Before his one loss in 2020, Bogatov was on an incredible 10-fight win streak and has done well to start building another fantastic inning remaining unbeaten since January 2021. He will now look to secure his fourth win against a man who also remains to be overcome in the most-global MMA promotion.

While Bogatov enjoys making his opponents work, the Kyrgyz has the most knockouts in BRAVE CF’s featherweight history with three early stoppages in three fights in which he has spent a total of only 18 minutes and 4 seconds inside the BRAVE CF cage.

The man refuses to work overtime and is currently riding a six-fight win streak which includes four knockouts. While renowned for his raw knockout power, like Bogatov, Abdrashitov is an equally dangerous submission artist with seven wins coming via either tap, choke or armbar.

On June 24, in the final installment of this year’s Kombat Kingdom series, these two juggernauts of the featherweight division will put their skills and power on the line to find out who is the last man standing in a duel that could become one of the most iconic BRAVE CF featherweight title fights, yet.
