Brandon Vera signed by ONE FC

Brandon Vera, 36, will fight outside the UFC for the first time since 2005, for the surging ONE FC, Asia’s largest MMA promotion.

The Filipino-American has an aggressive Muay Thai style and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He trains out of San Diego’s famed Alliance MMA. Vera can fight at both heavyweight and light heavyweight, and holds wins over the likes of Frank Mir and Krzysztof Soszynski.

ONE FC did not say when Vera will make his debut, name an opponent, or make reference to weight division, but his ONE FC debut is expected to be this year.
