First, Brandon Vera fought Thiago Silva at UFC 125 in Jan. of 2011. Silva beat the hell out of Vera (see below), and “The Truth” was let go.
Then Silva tested positive for PEDs. The bout was changed to No Contest, Silva was fined $33,750, and had his license revoked for a year. And Vera was brought back into the UFC.
Now Silva’s suspension has ended and he can again apply for a license to fight.
