UFC flyweight Ray Borg is being sued by his former management for fraud, breach of contract, and stolen trade secrets. The complete complaint can be viewed here.

The lawsuit alleges that Borg:
•Had a three-year management contract with Tom Vaughn’s Wild Bunch Management LLC, which is associated with MMA gym Fit NHB in Albuquerque, NM;
•Agreed to pay 20% of his earnings (show + win + bonuses) up to $9,999 and 10% of earnings above $10,000, plus state tax; and,
•Violated a non-compete agreement by teaching within a 50-mile radius of Fit NHB’s facility within one year of his departure as a gym employee; Borg is now training at Jackson-Wink, which is also located in Albuquerque.

On May 16, Borg formally denied the allegations, and claimed that the contract was made under duress and unenforceable. Now Steven Marrocco for MMAjunkie reports that Borg has filed a complaint with against the former manager with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department, the state’s MMA regulatory body.

In a complaint filed May 3, Borg alleges Vaughn was never licensed as a coach or a manager in New Mexico, committed multiple breaches of a management contract they inked in 2013, and treated him unfairly. Additionally, Borg alleges Vaughn violated state laws by hosting unregulated smokers at Fit NHB.

In an email to MMAjunkie, Vaughn’s attorney, Ryan Baughman, said Borg’s state complaint is vague and unsupported.

Mr. Vaughn is licensed as a cornerman and manager in the State of New Mexico and has never been a part of illegal ‘smoker fights,’ Baughman wrote. Mr. Vaughn also denies any alleged breeches of contract and that he has ever treated Mr. Borg unfairly.

In wholly positive news, Borg’s infant son is now home from the hospital following a five-week hospitalization for hydrocephalus, the rare condition once known as “water on the brain.”
