In this MMA short film by TapouT Films founder Bobby Razak, billionaire film maker George Lucas talks about his daughter Amanda‘s MMA career. The documentary profiles the fighter, with a major focus on her entry into the women’s MMA circuit.
MMA frequently breaks the mold of fighters coming from a hardscrabble background, but Lucas, well, breaks the mold – not too many billionaire’s daughters choose to make money by fighting in a cage.
“I think I never felt I measured up to other kids,” relates Amada. “So when I really fell in love with Jiu-Jitsu that was kind of what really got me wanting to do this… It’s very exciting that this is what I can do for myself, not what he can do for me.”
Her father, George Lucas recounts his response.
“I didn’t know a lot about mixed martial arts until a few years ago,” said George. “I was a bit surprised when she came to me and said “I want to do this.” I said well, ‘Ok, do what you love.’”
