Titan Fighting Championship has announced the signing of former pro wrestling star Bobby LashleyLashley, who will fight James Jack on March 25 in a show televised on HDNet. The card will also feature former UFC star Phil Baroni taking on a little-known fighter named Nick Nolte.
For Titan, signing Lashley is a strong indication that the promotion is willing to spend money to acquire recognizable names. The promotion also spent big to acquire Tim Sylvia, who was knocked out in 32 seconds by Abe Wagner last month. The question is whether Titan can build enough of a following among MMA fans to justify the expenses of fighters like Sylvia and Lashley.
