Bobby Green tweets NSFS pic of quad operation
UFC lightweught Bobby Green has tweeted that the injury that took him out was a torn quadricep, and posted a Not Safe For Stomach image from the OR.
When the UFC announced that Bobby Green was out of the fight with Jorge Masvidal and replaced by Benson Henderson, no specifics were given on the injury. Now Green has tweeted that it was a torn quadricep, and tweeted a Not Safe For Stomach image from the OR.
Steph Daniels for BloodyElbow spoke with Green’s manager Jason House.
“Bobby suffered a torn quad muscle,” explained House. “We got an MRI on Tuesday and had surgery on Friday. We can’t thank Dr. Kessler enough for getting him in that surgery so fast so that we can get the healing process started. Bobby will be out for around 6 weeks before we can start to strengthen his leg up for training and competition.”
