LAKELAND, Florida – Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship had the huge crowd on their feet on Friday night with BKFC 47, an outstanding night of action emanating from the RP Funding Center and broadcast globally on the BKFC app.

In the main event, BKFC middleweight world champion David “Redneck” Mundell (7-1), of Dunedin, Florida, valiantly rose from a knockdown at the hands of No. 1-ranked contender Mike “The Marine” Richman (5-2) of Rosemount, Minnesota, to score a tremendous second stoppage.

Dropped by a hard left from fellow southpaw Richman in the opening stanza, Mundell would score two knockdowns later in the round and two more in the second round as the fight was called off.

Said a victorious Mundell following the win, “Bring me Mike Perry, he’s the only one I want to fight next.”

Fighting in a BKFC light heavyweight interim title bout, Josh “Ken Doll” Dyer (2-1) and Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren (5-2) fought in a rematch three years in the making.

The aggressive Dyer would take control in the first round, dropping Warren with a huge right hand. At the end of the second round, Dyer badly hurt Warren against the ropes, however, one of his punches was deemed an unintentional strike to the back of the head. With Dyer being deducted a point, Warren was given five minutes to continue. At the end of the five minutes, Dyer was unable to return to battle, and the fight was declared a disappointing no contest.

No. 3-ranked featherweight Brandon Allen (4-1) earned the “Knockout of the Night” for his show-stopping knockout of Seth Shaffer (3-1). Recovering from being dropped to the canvas in the first round, Allen, looking fast and explosive, would drop Shaffer with a crushing left hook and earn the stoppage in the second round from a barrage of punches.

In the “Fight of the Night,” Ryan Reber (4-0) and Travis Thompson (6-4) needed a rare “sixth round” to settle their outstanding clash. In an entertaining fight that featured excellent two-way action throughout, the fight was scored a majority draw at the end of the first five rounds. Following the “go for broke” overtime round, Reber would be declared the winner.

In the women’s flyweight division, Gabrielle Roman (1-0-1) earned “Performance of the Night” with a first-round knockout of Martyna Krol (1-1). Roman looked sensational, demonstrating a full arsenal of punches to drop Krol early in the fight and earn the stoppage from two battering right hands at the end of the opening stanza.

In the middleweight division, Tony Murphy (2-0) stopped Murc Jones (0-1) in the third round. Dropping Jones twice in the second round Murphy was able to overcome the wild swinging Jones and score on the inside throughout.

Fighting in the women’s bantamweight division, Crystal Pittman (2-3) overwhelmed Toni Tallman (0-1) with a second-round stoppage. Pittman was more aggressive than the newcomer Tallman, as the fight was called to a halt with the referee judging Tallman unable to continue.

Two explosive knockouts highlighted the preliminary bouts. Ja’Far Fortt (2-0) Tim Hester (1-1) in the third round in the welterweight division. In the featherweight division, Michael Larrimore (1-0) knocked out Daniel Gary (0-3) in the opening stanza.
