BROOMFIELD, Colorado – Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship promoted their first event in Colorado, as a sold-out crowd at the 1STBank Center outside of Denver roared their approval throughout the sensational BKFC 31 event.

Headlined by an instant classic in the light heavyweight division, Mike “The Marine” Richman (4-0, 3 KOs) stopped Isaac Doolitttle (3-1, 1 KO) in the third round.

Following an aggressive yet even first round, Doolittle would successfully attack Richman in the second stanza unloading his full arsenal of power shots from close range to the head and body. At the end of the round, Richman’s face was bleeding and swollen.

However, in valiant fashion, Richmond would turn the tables on Doolittle, landing massive body shots to slow down the Kansas native. Dropping Doolittle with a sharp left to the chin, Richmond was declared the winner, as the fallen warrior was unable to beat the count.

With the victory, Richman was awarded the BKFC interim light heavyweight title.

In the co-feature welterweight clash, Jake Lindsey (3-0) would be declared the victor over Brandon Girtz (0-1), as their fight was stopped at the end of round 2. Having suffered a large gash over his right eye in the second stanza, Girtz was deemed unable to continue by the ringside physician.

Fighting in the light heavyweight division, BKFC debuting Chris Camozzi (1-0, 1 KO) quickly impressed the hometown fans, dropping Bubba McDaniel (0-1) with a huge right hand, as their fight was stopped at the 0:37 mark of the opening round.

In heavyweight action, hometown favorite Josh Copeland (1-0, 1 KO), made his highly anticipated BKFC debut a successful one, stopping Levi da Costa (1-1) with a huge left hand at the conclusion of round three. The fight was a spirited battle that saw both combatants score at will prior to the stoppage.

Competing in the welterweight division, Christian Torres (2-2, 1 KO) defeated hometown favorite and BKFC debuting Cory Madden by unanimous decision. Torres would open the clash with two huge knockdowns in the first round of Madden and then scored throughout the fight with body shots and fighting successfully in the clinch. Scores at the end of the fight were 48-45, 48-45 and 50-43.

In a welterweight clash, southpaws Gorjan Slaveski (3-0, 3 KOs) and Evgeny Kurdanov (0-1) fought in an action-packed battle. Throwing caution to the wind, both fighters landed huge power shots throughout the first round. In the second round, Slaveski would take control of the action, punctuated by drilling Kurdanov to the canvas. Although there were no subsequent knockdowns in the fight, Slaveski would pull away in victory as the busier and more effective fighter down the stretch. Scores were unanimous for the fast-rising Slaveski, 50-44, 49-45 and 48-46.

Bantamweights saw action in a tremendous women’s battle between Khortni Kamyron (1-0) and Crystal Pittman (1-3). Although bleeding badly throughout much of the fight, the fearless Pittman would survive a knockdown in round 3 to drop Kamyron in the final stanza. At the end of the highly entertaining clash, Kamyron would win on all three judges’ scorecards, 48-43.

Opening the main card in the featherweight division, BKFC debuting Andrew Yates scored a devastating first-round knockout of Nolan McGlaughlin (0-1).  

In the prelims, Andrew Angelcor (2-0, 1 KO) stopped Van Vo (0-1) at the end of the third round in their lightweight fight. Also, Keegan Vandermeer (1-0) knocked out Zeb Vincent (0-1) in the first round in the cruiserweight division.
