No sooner is a fight over in MMA than fans want to know what’s next. Smart fighters know that and often do a call out before they have left the Octagon.
UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping called out all four leading contenders after he defeated Dan Henderson on Saturday night.
Forgive my language, all you f***ing a******s in the rest of the division,” he began. “Weidman, what the hell? You lost your last fight. I’ve had three victories since you got your ass kicked by Luke Rockhold. Rockhold, I knocked you out in three minutes, buddy. Yoel Romero, you’re suspended for steroids. Shame on you. And Jacare, you just got beat by Yoel. All of you – win a fight, get off the couch, and f***ing let’s do this.
The next opponent is like to be who wins most compellingly in two fights next month. On November 12, 2016, Chris Weidman fights Yoel Romero at UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. And on November 27, 2016, Luke Rockhold fights Ronaldo Souza in a rematch at UFC Fight Night 101.
And if for some reason the winner of those fights doesn’t work out, there is Derek Brunson vs. Robert Whittaker (16-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 101, and Tim Kennedy vs. Rashad Evans at UFC 205. And Gegard Mousasi wants a shot!
With all the possibles, fighters are trying to stand out; Chris Weidman recently had harsh words for Bisping, saying he was embarrassed for the often gallant Brit.
Bisping replied during a recent appearance on UFC Unfiltered.
I mean if that whiner … Chris Weidman wants to do it, then I’m more than happy, said Bisping, as transcribed by MMAjunkie. If he gets by Yoel next month, let’s do it, son.
He thinks I’m ducking him. He’s f***ing crazy. I’ve never ducked anyone in my life. I’m surely not going to start with that a****** douchebag.
So if he wants to do it, he can come out here and try to wrestle me to death, but he’ll find himself punched in the face repeatedly.
Bisping’s opponent will be known when the dust settles. In the meantime, The Count is enjoying himself
