Bisping wants to fight ‘tit’ Weidman at UFC 208, will retire when belt lost

UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping’s next fight in the UFC will be his 28th, setting the league record. Thus it is natural for the 37-years-old to be doing some retirement planning. He had originally said he wanted to defend the belt three times and retire, but that plan has been amended. ‘The Count’ now plans to retire when he loses the belt.

Bisping wants to defend his belt at UFC 208 on January 21, 2017, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. And he named who he wants to fight – Chris Weidman, who fights Yoel Romero on the main card of UFC 205 on Saturday night.

I might have another big movie role that starts filming end of January, said Bisping to Mike Bohn for MMAjunkie. Sometime in January would be nice. So I can get a fight, then do the movie, if the movie comes. It’s not guaranteed yet.

[I would like to fight] Weidman, because he’s a tit. No, Weidman’s all right. I’ve got nothing against Weidman. I’ve berated his accomplishments as a champion. That’s what started this beef a while ago. He’s all right. I like him and his whole team – they’re all really, really cool guys. We’re both competitors. He wants what I’ve got. There’s a bit of history there. I think people will be interested in that fight, as well.

Never say never, you can’t fight forever. I’ve been doing this for a long, long time. I’ll probably keep going until I lose the belt then just say f*** it. Cheers.
