Michael Bisping shocked the world when he knocked out Luke Rockhold to become the UFC middleweight champion. No sooner had he won the title, did a line of contenders start knocking on his door for a shot at the title. Top contenders Yoel Romero and Jacare Souza asked for a title fight, as well as top fifteen fighters Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort. And of course Luke Rockhold wanted a rematch.

Sometimes title shots aren’t always who is on the top of the rankings or most deserving, but who makes the most intriguing fight for the champion. At UFC 100, Dan Henderson knocked out Michael Bisping in spectaculr fashion and now one hundred and four PPVs later, Bisping will have a chance to avenge that loss with the UFC middleweight title on the line:

The rematch has been verbally agreed upon by both fighters, MMA Fighting has learned. Bisping also confirmed the fight was on for Oct. 8 in Manchester, England Thursday on his SiriusXM radio show, “The Countdown.”

UFC 204: Bisping vs. Henderson 2 is scheduled to take place at the Manchester Arena. Interestingly enough, the main event will happen at approximately 5 a.m. local time to accommodate the North American pay-per-view audience.
