Bisping: McGregor is Jesus Christ can do whatever he wants

UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping won the belt by knocking out Luke Rockhold in June of 2016. Four months later he defended it vs. Dan Henderson, who was outside the top 10. Bisping has agred to defend the belt vs. welterweight G.O.A.T Georges St-Pierre, date TBD.
UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor won the belt by knocking out Eddie Alvarez in November of 2016. It has been about six months, and the only contest he has any interest in a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, who knows when. There is 0 chance of a title defense with a year.
However, Bisping has been frequently criticized for avoiding the top contenders, something McGregor has largely escaped. On his latest Believe You Me podcast, Bisping lamented the differing responses.
“Whatever I do, I get s*** off everybody,” said Bisping as transcribed by the IB Times. “Conor McGregor can do no wrong, he is Jesus reincarnated. He can walk on water, he can do whatever the f*** he wants.”
“He can leave the sport of UFC and go chase a boxing match and that’s still the best thing ever, holding up two divisions whilst he’s at it. But me, Jesus Christ, all I tried to do is get a big payday and I’m the scum of the earth, I’m the devil.”
“The top seven are calling me out. Whichever one of them, because they’re all tough guys, let’s be honest, whichever one I pick, the other six are all going to b**** and whine and complain. So you can’t win. I’m fighting Georges St-Pierre, f***ing deal with it.”
“If you want to fight in the meantime, go ahead. I mean Luke Rockhold is still talking s***, he hasn’t put a glove on since I knocked him out in the first round. Yoel hasn’t fought for a long time. If you’re so good, continue to fight. When I didn’t have a title shot, I didn’t whine and b**** and complain. I just got on with it and I kept fighting.”
