“Anderson Silva is amazing. He’s pound-for-pound best, all that, we all know that, he’s incredible. But a lot of his opponents I don’t think have given him a fight. He hasn’t had a fight recently. Yushin Okami just sort of fell over, Forrest Griffin got jabbed unconcious; people give him too much respect.
The only person that didn’t was Chael Sonnen and he got submitted in the final round. I know I could give him a good fight. I would certainly do better than what people recently have done. I want my chance. I’ve been in the UFC since 2005 and I feel I’ve earned that shot. And I know for a fact I would give him a better fight than what he’s had lately.”
