Bethe: Ronda has to fight me before fighting men
Bethe Correia: “Before fighting men, Ronda need to beat me … The only thing that prevents me from being the champion, is the UFC not making this fight.”

UFC president Dana White recently joked that UFC women’s bantamweight champion is “gonna have to start fighting men if she walks through Cat Zingano,”
Bethe Correia didn’t get the joke. Correia has made it an explicit point to go through Rousey’s friends The Four Horsewomen. Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke are down. Marina Shafir is in a different division, and not in the UFC. So that leaves Rousey herself.
“Before fighting men, Ronda need to beat me,” said Correia to Brazil’s Globo, via Google Translate. “If she beats me, I’ll agree with what Dana White said … The only thing that prevents me from being the champion, is the UFC not making this fight. If they make it, the fight is won, because I know how to win the rounds. Not to mention my will – I think it surpasses all.”
“When I fight with Ronda, I will make a revolution in the UFC. Dana White will look at women’s MMA differently. It will be a new generation of UFC, because I will show you what female MMA is, what it is to be a champion of the UFC. I think Ronda earned it, but I think she does not have an attitude of a true world champion. So I’m going to revolutionize everything, be a new face, a new world champion and I’m sure I will change the thinking of all the UFC brass. If Ronda beats the Cat Zingano, then she will have to fight me. And I will make a new generation, the generation of Bethe Correia, because the generation of Ronda will past – finished.”
Ronda Rousey fights Cat Zingano in the main event of UFC 184 on Feb 28.
