Ben Saunders announces self management

UFC welterweight Ben Saunders has announced that he is no longer representing American Top Team, and will be self-managing.
“So I guess this is an ‘Official Announcement’ that I too will no longer be representing American Top Team,” wrote Saunders on his social network. “I will continue to represent myself, my friends, coaches, training partners, past and present. All who have given me support and stood by me through all the ups and downs. No one is lost, forgotten, or left behind as that holds no honor and I am forever grateful to everyone.
“I am a Product of Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do, keeping an open mind taking in what is useful, discarding what is useless, and creating what is essentially my own. My purpose since I was a child has been to never forget where I come from and give the best representation of my roots as I can.
“As of right now #TheCollaboration of who I am holds Strong Homage to all who have been involved in this creative process. Thank You all from the bottom of my heart. Still amazing things to come.”
Saunders also took strong exception to fellow UFC welterweight, ATT fighter Colby Covington whose ugly outburst in Brazil at UFC Fight Night 119 on Saturday was condemned by ATT founder Ricardo Liborio. In a public response to Covington, Liborio also noted that he is no longer with the team; this, in turn, spawned another Covington rant, this time directed at Liborio.
Saunders was not impressed, as he made enormously plain.
Covington’s heel turn may be genuine, or it may be a conscious way to get recognition. Whichever, it’s ugly.
